The first live Idols show saw the first half of the Top 14 pitted against each other on a brand new set, in front of an audience for the first time... but did they deliver?
It’s understandably more difficult kicking off the first live show and this is supposedly the cream of the crop and expectations are high.
But forget about them.
Did you see Randall’s shirt?
That shirt had more expression than Randall’s face the whole way through the show.
And speaking of clothes, Mara assures me that her outfit did fall off the back of a truck!
While we’re on the judges, guest judge Ross Learmonth from Prime Circle did a pretty good job…don’t you think? He is really a sincere guy who loves music and was a real pro on the panel.
A challenge with the live shows is that it is sometimes it sounds different on TV. I was slightly disappointed with the first round of performances but with this being the sixth season of Idols, my expectations are higher.
Sindi and Bongi were the stars of the night. Who will go? It’s early days and it’s in your hands now. Whatever happens this time, at we’ll have a result – unlike the Australian elections.
