When DIAAN LAWRENSON returned to the 7de Laan set after her December holiday she was dismayed to find a tiny dress hanging in her dressing room. It was small - very small. She’d never get her growing tummy into it, the actress who plays Paula thought.
Diaan’s eyes widen in awe as she strokes her belly. The slim actress - who these days is a size 34 instead of 32 - is five months pregnant but can still hardly believe it. It’s a girl and she’s due in June.
“We’re calling her Schnookie for now,” she says with a glint in her eye as she smiles affectionately at fiancé JODY ABRAHAMS, the actor who used to play Donovan on the Laan.
They had planned to get married in March but have decided to postpone the wedding until after their baby’s arrival.
“We thought about getting married straight away but then realised it wasn’t necessary. We made a permanent commitment the day we got engaged. We’re still planning to get married but I’d like to fit into a wedding dress when the day comes!” Diaan explains.
