Until two weeks ago English football fans had their hopes pinned on him to lead their team to World Cup glory. But now everything is uncertain because England soccer captain JOHN TERRY (29) has turned out to be another hero with feet of clay.
Not only has he apparently cheated on his wife of three years, Toni (28), with at least 12 lovers. To make matters worse one woman fell pregnant and Terry paid for an abortion: French model Vanessa Perroncel, one of his wife’s best friends and the former girlfriend of Terry’s best friend, English team-mate Wayne Bridge.
His wife had always forgiven his straying but it seems Vanessa was the last straw. Toni has packed her bags and flown to Dubai with their three-year-old twins. She has also told Terry she wants a divorce.
Meanwhile soccer fans and even politicians have begun insisting that the English football federation fire Terry as captain. They’re waiting in anticipation for team manager Fabio Capello to pronounce on the footballer’s future.
