President Julius Malema?

Recently it seemed allegations about Julius Malema’s extravagant lifestyle might damage his popularity - but he faced up to his critics and toughed it out.

When Jacob Zuma was accused of rape many said, “Guilty or not, there’s no way he’ll be president now.” With President Zuma firmly in Tuynhuys the question is, where is Malema heading?

In the latest issue of YOU political commentator and author Max du Preez looks at Malema’s rise to power and influence through the ranks of the ANC Youth League and assesses his bigger political intentions.

And it seems he has his eyes on becoming president of South Africa. While that thought may terrify many, it equally fires up his millions of supporters among the embittered, unemployed young people in townships and squatter camps who see little chance of a better life without the support of someone like Malema, who came from similar circumstances.

President Julius Malema? Time is on his side - he turns 29 on 3 March.

So, says Du Preez, fasten your seatbelts - because Julius Malema will be with us for a long time.

as far as im concerned, i will give julius malema a chance to be president of sout africa, i do not hate him. for he is just a man, a normal everyday human being with normal flaws and normal limitations. we need to remember that julius is just a man. if you put him next to an ordinary man who works at the supermarket, you will see two men. take away their titles and uniforms and voices, and you will see two men. they breathe, they eat, they bleed and they die. so, really, why hate another flesh just because of the words uttered from his mouth.

if julius is to become president then i wont see him any different, simply because he is no different from the rest of us. so, my answer is, it doesant bother me if he does or does not become president.

I am a 21 year old smart, successful young woman and I will never vote for the ANC if JM was to become president and I pray that all young people who value their future in this beautiful country of ours can play a role in preventing being led by him.

With all do respect i dont know him as person and that drives. All i can comment on is what i read in the newspapers and articles.all is not bad at what his saying but most of what he is saying aint good either.he has done anything different to what any other politician of this era has done drive fancy cars byus new houses while (his) people are suffering. He has alot of hard work lying in front of him before anybody give him a chance.I know as i say he brainwashes the youth league.. As for the youth league where does it end...what age do u have to be to beconsidered youth in this country....There are so many well educated youngsters out there that will make a tremendous youth leader because they have a better understanding of the issues at hand today. As for those who supports the president good for them...but has they actually listened to what he has to say...and have they actually noticed how he contradicts himself....No to way about it...me personally dont wanna see where this country will end up, especially if things carry on the way they do.

    thanks L
