Romantic comedy.
2011. 101 min.
With Selena Gomez, Katie Cassidy, Leighton Meester.
Director: Thomas Bezucha.
PG.
Rating: 2/5

Grace (Gomez) goes on a trip to Paris with her best friend (Cassidy) and uptight stepsister (Meester). When the girls end up in a posh hotel Grace is mistaken for rich, snobbish socialite Cordelia (also played by Gomez) and they end up in Monte Carlo for a charity event.

Along the way the three girls meet cute guys and fall in love while enjoying living the high life.

At times the film feels like a drawn-out episode of a Disney show. Meester’s character is the only one with any depth but all three leading ladies are charming and funny.

Gomez plays the rich socialite much better than the girl-next-door – pity there aren’t more scenes for Cordelia.

Steer clear if you’re a cynic and don’t like neat endings, but if you’re in the mood for harmless escapism you’ll enjoy it. And the views of Paris from the Eiffel Tower are gorgeous.

Bonus: deleted scenes, featurettes.
