Romantic comedy.
Rating: 3/5

This British flick is about country heiress Tamara Drewe (one-time Bond girl Gemma Arterton), an ugly duckling who goes to the big city to become a famous journalist, then returns to her country home a beautiful swan (thanks to a nose job) and gets the local men into a froth.

A writer’s retreat full of neurotic authors provides an interesting side angle as Tamara lustily beds rock star Ben (Dominic Cooper), then famous novelist Nicholas (Roger Allam).

Or is her first love, hunky farmboy Andy (Luke Evans), the guy for her?

Don’t hold your breath; this is simply entertaining, bubbly romantic fun.
