Critics may be divided on Kesha’s debut album, Animal, but we think it’s a breath of fresh air with its upbeat tracks. She sounds a bit like Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne and Pink rolled into one and the music combines pop, electro, rap and rock influences. We love all 15 songs but you’ll want to pay attention to Tik Tok, Blah Blah Blah and bonus track VIP. Hot!

It took Kesha seven years to write Animal. By the time she was ready she’d penned more than 200 songs. She’d originally planned on having only 12 songs on the album but because there were so many she settled on 15.
