This SA-born singer, songwriter and film composer (he wrote the score for My Black Little Heart) now lives in London, which may account for the international feel of his latest album.

It’s impossible to pin down the genre and there’s a disjointedness that should put you off but somehow doesn’t.

This is good music, even if it’s a little weird. We loved The Sun! The Sun! and Twin Fins.
