Send an email to You_subs@media24.com or SMS the words YOU MATHS, the name of the shop name and the town to 36487 or call 0860-103-686 to order. Each SMS costs R1. The magazine is also available in Afrikaans under the Huisgenoot banner.

The series of four magazines will each contain six brand-new exam papers compiled by senior teachers from across the country especially for YOU. They all have experience in compiling both provincial and national exam papers.

YOU Exam Aid will focus on four subjects, each contained in its own magazine. The subjects are:

* Mathematics (available at the end of April).

* Physical Science (available at the end of May).

* Life Sciences (available at the end of June).

* Accounting (available at the end of July).

Each magazine also contains the full memorandums that will help with final preparation for internal exams as well as the NSS exams at the end of the year.

The days when Grade 12 learners constantly worked through the same exam papers are over. . .

The magazine will be available in shops at a reasonable R24.95 each. Schools who order 50 copiers or more will have their order delivered free of charge.

I really think that all the other grades should be included in the You Exam Help. My son is in Grade 10
and the You Exam Help only caters for grade 12

well i think maths should not be forced to grade 12 only ,the only strategy to improve our students for mathematics is to use or to introduce some basics to all grades from grade 8 to the very last grade which is grade 12

This is a good idea, It will really help more students. My concern is that most of the time Maths assistance is only given to Matrics through magazine or newapaper . Have you seen the WESTERN CAPE SYSTEMATIC RESULTS for primary schools? ( grade 3 and 6 in disadvantaged areas) have you read about some primary school teachers who could not calculate the percentage? It was on one newspaper.

If you have not, consult with the Western Cape Education Department and UCT. As a teacher in the squatter camp and disadvantage area, I would like to see that kind of assistance from you. Somewhere some how this will help some to improve. Students wil also benefit.

Maths foundation (skills) are of importance to our learners .Skills got while they are still in primary school will help the learners to do better in Matric.
