Here’s how to use the tool that allows you to get interactive with your favourite magazine. Scanning the barcode-like tags on various of our magazine's pages will take you to content such as video clips and recipes.
STEP 1 DOWNLOAD
Get started by downloading the Tag Reader application
•In your phone browser go to http://gettag.mobi then click download. Check here for compatibility.
•Or SMS YOU Tag to 32113 (each SMS costs R1); we’ll send the link.
•If you have a smartphone find it in your phone’s app store.
STEP 2 SCAN OR SNAP
Your phone must have a camera. Your phone’s model determines whether you’ll snap or scan the tag.
•Open the Tag Reader (it should be in downloads or your app menu).
•Hover over the tag as if you’re going to take a picture. Some phones will automatically scan the tag; with others you’ll have to take a picture of the tag.
STEP 3 WATCH IT
•With many smartphones the clip will play automatically.
•If it doesn’t play automatically go to the media centre on your phone and click on the video clip you’ve just downloaded to enjoy the content.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The clip is free but you’ll pay about R3 to download it (data costs depend on your cellphone package).
