Oprah Winfrey is a big fan of the handsome heart surgeon. When the talk-show queen invited him onto her show several years ago she was so impressed by the candid way he discussed medical matters she made him her resident expert – then helped to get him his own show.
The Dr Oz Show is now broadcast in more than 100 countries, including South Africa, and has turned the charming doctor into a global phenomenon, earning him Emmy Awards in the process.
