A dress more suited to cocktail hour than a wedding, a groom without a tie, no bridesmaids or groomsmen . . . doesn’t exactly sound like a dream wedding.
But ask Isidingo fans and they’ll tell you it’s exactly what they’d expect from Lolly de Klerk and Frank Xavier.
Hard-nosed journalist Lolly, played by Kim Engelbrecht, and her boss-turned-boyfriend Frank, played by Kevin Smith, are anything but your typical fairytale princess and prince.
For starters, the unconventional couple have had their fair share of drama.
“They have a hard time,” Kim (31) concedes, laughing. “Actually that’s an understatement!”
“But despite it all they’re perfect for each other,” Kevin (48) adds. “Lolly ticks all the boxes for the qualities Frank looks for in a woman.”
