Bacon and mushroom pasta

Serves 4 to 6
Preparation: 5 min
Cooking: 15 min

  • 300 g pasta
  • 15 ml (1 T) oil
  • 80 g butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 250 g bacon, chopped
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 300 ml cream
  • handful Parmesan cheese, grated

1 Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water according to the packet instructions. Drain well.

2 Meanwhile, heat a pan over medium heat. Add the oil, butter, onion, bacon and mushrooms. Cook stirring for 5 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.

3 Add the cream, simmer for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add the pasta and sprinkle the Parmesan over. Stir through. Season with salt and pepper.
